On a night out I love to wear false eyelashes because I think they do wonders for making your eyes pop - if you buy the right ones anyway...
I have almond shaped eyes, so I usually go for a cat eye effect as it is what suits me the most. Therefore I am always looking for lashes which have more fibres at the ends to help achieve that overall look; something I am yet to achieve. This then results in me sat with tweezers, the strip lashes and a box of individual lashes, manually applying more to the ends. Time consuming? Never...
The only eyelash brand I like using is Eylure as I find they have the best selection. Whether this is their own creations, the Girls Aloud range or most recently the Katy Perry collaboration. However, when I saw Millie Mackintosh's most recent additions to her collection I was really intrigued...
Millie Mackintosh Ibiza Lashes £12.95
First off I thought that the half set were for the bottom lashes, yet they're actually to apply to the corners of the first set, with the aim of giving the wearer the option of transitioning from day to night.
There are even two variations of this available from the collection:
Millie Mackintosh St Tropez Lashes £12.95
In comparison to the rest of the market these are quite expensive, but they will be worth a try over summer.
This also got me looking into what other celebrity brands were available at the moment (apart from Lauren's Way Lashes because they look beyond naff).
Katy has now ventured into lashes with hints of colour. I have tried the purple ones and they are amazing. The lash length and thickness is perfect, however I cover mine with mascara so that they are black rather than purple - they have more of an effect this way.
There is also another celebrity who has caught my eye. Her name is Lilly Ghalichi and she's from the reality show 'The Shahs of Sunset'. Her make up is always impeccable and she has the largest head of hair on the planet.Lilly now also has an eyelash range which look amazing; what is it with reality TV stars and false eyelashes?!
Lilly Ghalichi Cairo and Istanbul $6.99 each.
The collection has 16 strip lashes to choose from, however these two are my favourite. I love that they look fluffy and as realistic as false eyelashes can look. I really dislike the lashes which look plastic and these are anything but that. The only issue with them is that they're shipped from the US, so you'd have to make a large order for it to be worth the postage!
What are your favourite lashes?
