The Kardashians have done many things for society, but right now I'm going to focus on their hair. They always have the most amazingly long and luscious barnets, no matter what the weather. Of course they have millions of dollars, armies of hairdressers and the power to demand the best of the best. So for us ordinary girls who don't have those luxuries, how do we achieve this look without breaking the bank?
Clips in - done. Don't they give you such a bad headache by the end of the night? Not to mention the few pieces that I may or may not have lost in a club thanks to Willow Smith requesting we 'whip it'.
Glue ins - Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I still get the shakes when mentioning this method. Aged 14 I thought it was the best decision to make - despite my mother's disapproving look. A bag of hair, a bottle of glue and one very, very, very burnt scalp later, my mane was fabulous. However due to the burns I could not put any pressure on my scalp, which meant I could not sleep. Long story short, I ended up having my mum rip them out of my head like plasters (yes, it was as painful as it sounds!) because I couldn't handle it any more. Never. Again.
Weave - I have watched America's Next Top Model and I would be that girl with a knitting needle in hand, red faced and crying like a banshee to the diary room camera about how badly my head hurts. It's just not even worth bothering.
So I was in utter awe about this new product - Effortless Extensions. I could try and describe it, but you wouldn't believe me, so just watch the really short video below...
Unbelievable right? Hiding the wire would not be a problem at all with a bit of back combing and hair spray. You'd go from Amber Rose to Kardashian in a blink of an eye.
The product comes in a range of shades that would suit a lot of hair colours. This is a product I will be purchasing ASAP - more for the fact that I just want to see how easy it really could be...
The pieces are £74.95 and as they fall into the nape of your neck they add 16" of hair. Each colour also comes in a variety of styles: straight, natural and body. I feel like the extension world has really pulled it out of the bag for women all over the country. Voluptuous hair, here we come!
