Versace darkened Paris runways down by revealing jewel tones, furs and new shapely coats. Black, Navy and Purple seemed to be the dominant colours with a misty pink splurging here and there. The outfits were formal but very lady like at the same time, with a few rocker elements here and there, displayed in black leather jackets and really nice, different fitting black trousers. As the show continued, Versace pumped out 4 floral dresses to mix things up, then continued with the dark black rocker tones again; just proving a point that Gianni knows exactly what is going on with fashion today, yet doesn’t want to focus on it primarily. The show ended with a stream of beautifully elegant lady like gowns floating down the runway, each in one of the colours Versace had previously used; gorgeous and very high fashion as always.
Milan fashion week is over, but do not fear fellow fashion followers, Paris fashion week is here to blow our socks off.
